Grand Forks Grain, formerly MGI Grain, carries forward a milling legacy that began in the early 1960s in East Grand Forks, Minnesota. Built in the heart of the Northern Plains in the Red River basin, the operation has long served as a trusted regional grain processor with deep roots in barley, oats, and specialty grain ingredients.

Our journey has been anything but ordinary. Through every step, we've focused on staying true to our values and making space for intentional, lasting work.

Over the years, the mill has continued to evolve to meet the needs of changing food, pet food, livestock, and wellness-focused markets. In 2022, the East Grand Forks facility underwent a major capacity expansion, including upgrades to pearling, grain receiving, cleaning, and conveyance systems. All this with the intent of strengthening its ability to deliver high-quality grain ingredients.

Today, Grand Forks Grain builds on that history with trusted grower relationships, dependable processing, tolling services and specialty grain sourcing. Our flexible packaging solutions include bulk, totes, and bags for our customers. Shipping includes bulk rail cars and semi loads in any configuration.
